Accredited, passionate and friendly.
I am a member of Fitness Australia and insured with Guild Insurance. I am an accredited bootcamp and outdoor group fitness instructor. I am a certified THUMP boxing instructor, RIP60 (suspension training) instructor and have a Master Trainer Certificate III and Certificate IV from Australian Institute of Fitness.
I am a personal trainer who’s main aim is to teach correct exercise technique to prevent injuries to those new and old to exercising. This is due to the fact that in all the years of exercising from the age of 18, I obtained many injuries due to incorrect technique.
I began exercising at the age of 18 when I became a member of The Harbord Diggers Gym. I was hooked from the start and have only taken time off after giving birth to my 2 beautiful children. I was in the corporate world for about 26 years working for State Rail Authority in various accounting departments, AMP, Intergraph and Financial Synergy.
I am also a Fitness Instructor for Fitness First, Virgin Active and LUXE.
I began my journey with my new career in 2011 and have not looked back. I love helping my clients learn to make exercise part of a healthier lifestyle, to enjoy what they do and see and feel results.
I also keep myself up to date with the latest information available in the industry. I can then share this with my clients. I ensure that I have practiced any new exercises prior to making clients perform them so as to ensure that I know where they are supposed to feel ‘the burn’ and to perform it safely.
Our terms and conditions are as follows:
Pre-exercise questionnaire
All clients are requested to complete a pre-exercise questionnaire. Should there be any areas of concern, clients will be requested to obtain a medical clearance prior to commencement of a program to ensure the safety of their health and wellbeing.
Weather
Training will continue in the event of light rain or drizzle under shelter (location will be advised), unless the fitness coach deems the training location to be unsafe as a result of the weather. If the session or group is cancelled due to any form of inclement weather all funds paid for the skipped session will be credited to the client.
Mandatory training requirements
All clients must bring a towel and water bottle to each session for reasons of hygiene and safety. Please ensure that you have had something to eat one to two hours before the work out, however avoid eating large meals. Wear loose comfortable, light clothing that does not restrict movement. Ensure that you are wearing the appropriate footwear to avoid injury. All clients must also be in a fit state to train. If not, the fitness coach may make the decision to cancel the session or refuse entry to the group for the health and safety of the client. If this situation does occur then the client may be liable for cancellation fees.
Payment
Payment is required in advance for all training.
Group class clients – the only form of payment is via internet account transfer until the following is set up – EziDEBIT direct debit. Payments are required one month in advance. This refers to Bootcamps timetabled during the week. Should there be a requirement for group sessions that is outside of these Bootcamp sessions, charges need to be discussed and agreed with Fitness coach prior.
Personal training clients – the preferred method of payment is via internet account transfer until the following is set up – EziDEBIT direct debit. There is a 4 weekly payment in advance.
For Direct debit EziDEBIT payments a $2.20 once only client set up fee will be charged by EziDEBIT along with a $1.10 per transaction fee for bank accounts and 2.2% of the transaction for Visa and Mastercard.
Cancellations by the client for training sessions
Cancellations must be made with 12 hours notice by either SMS or a call to the fitness coach. Failure to do so results in a forfeited session and the client will be charged for the session. If notice is given with over 12 hours notice, the session must be redeemed by the end of the school term. If you know in advance that you will be away for a few sessions, only pay for the sessions you will definitely be attending. For example, if you are going to be away for 2 weeks during the school term, then only pay for 8 weeks or if you will be away for a session or two, then discuss with the fitness coach. If you cannot make up those sessions by the end of term, discuss with the fitness coach.
Couples training sessions
If either one of the parties cannot attend the session, the following would apply: if the cancellation occurs more than 12 hours before the session then the single hourly rate will apply for the remaining person training; if the cancellation occurs within 12 hours of the session then the full couples rate applies. If the remaining client chooses not to go ahead because one of the participants will be unavailable, then the normal policy of cancellation within a 12 hour period or a cancellation fee applies.
